Click on the links to see our photographs We flew to Geneva where we caught a train to Montreux, on the shores of Lake Geneva. The next day we took a cog railway up through mountains where we enjoyed beautiful views. See our photos of Montreux and Rochers de Nage. The next day we boarded the panorama carriage of the Golden Pass train to Interlaken. We sat in the glassed nose of the train, perfect for viewing the fantastic countryside. We were unfortunate with the weather in Interlaken, but at least we missed the rain that caused severe flooding earlier in the summer. On our first day we enjoy a boat trip to Brienz; the next day we took the cog railway trip to the Jungfraujoch, Europe's highest train station. The clouds persisted on our trip on the Glacier Express, but we had good views of the valleys and a fantastic meal on the train, topped with a grappa poured from great height! More photos from the windows of the trains. We had very weather in Zurich where we visited with friends and walked the streets of the city. See our photos from Zurich.
