Day 1
We took advantage of the good weather to hike along the Walensee, about an hour southeast of Zurich.  The first half of the hike is pretty easy, then it's all uphill where you catch the bus connection to the train which takes you back to the start.  We had a great lunch in the middle and a welcome drink at  the top.  Follow this link to view the photographs of day 1.

Day 2
It rained, so no photos.  But we had a fun day exploring Zurich, and finished with a great dinner in a restaurant overlooking the city.  Our friends Rudy and Carol also joined us -- a good time was had by all.

Day 3
We started our day in Stein am Rhine (close to the boarder with Germany) where we began a walk through forest and over grassland to another town where we caught the boat to Shauffausen.  From there we took a train to the Rhine Falls, and another boat to the middle of the action.  Water, water all around! Follow this link to view the photographs of day 3.

Day 4
More rain in Zurich, so Urs and Regina took us on the train south to the Tessine, the Italian part of Switzerland.  We got out at Locarno, then took a bus up the hill where we began our walk.  Great views of the lake along the way.  At the bottom we took a boat to the island botanical garden.  A long day with lots of sunshine, beautiful views, and a spectacular train ride. Follow this link to view the photographs of day 4.

Day 5
More rain, so no photos, but a perfect museum day.  We visited the Cézanne exhibit, had a fun lunch where we were joined by Peter, then off to the airport to catch the flight home.
